Guests expect plush hand-feel and quiet absorbency. Pick terry cotton 400–450 GSM with a shawl collar and chest embroidery (logo on left chest, ≤ 8 × 8 cm). MOQ 50 pcs per design is the floor; spa programs typically run 100–300 pcs for a single property. Sample lead 5–7 days, bulk 20 days. For high-turnover spa laundry, a poly-cotton blend (65/35) survives 50+ industrial wash cycles better than 100% cotton.
Hotel guest rooms
Durability and uniformity matter more than plushness. Pick terry cotton 400 GSM (lighter than spa for faster dryer turnaround) with a piped edge and center-back embroidery so the logo reads when the robe hangs on the door. What GSM should I pick for terry cotton custom robes?
For hotel and spa programs, 400–500 GSM is the standard band. 400 GSM dries faster in industrial laundry; 450–500 GSM feels plusher and reads as premium. Below 350 GSM the robe feels thin for guest use; above 550 GSM you add dry time without meaningful absorbency gain. Confirm the GSM band on your written quote — your spec drives yarn count, loop length, and finished weight.
Can I print a logo on a terry cotton robe?
Yes. The three standard placements are left chest embroidery (≤ 8 × 8 cm, most common), center-back embroidery (≤ 10 × 5 cm, hotel-room door reads), and patch logo (sewn-on woven or embroidered patch, ≤ 7 × 7 cm). Embroidery is the default; patch is preferred for microfiber and waffle where direct stitch can pucker the surface. Vector AI / EPS / PDF is required; raster logos need 300 DPI minimum. PMS-matched thread is included for qualified B2B orders.
What is the sample lead time, and is the sample cost refundable?
Sample lead time is 5–7 business days after artwork sign-off. For standard spec samples (no custom fabric development), sample cost is refundable against a bulk PO of 200+ pcs within 90 days. Custom-dye or custom-yarn development samples are non-refundable and add 10–14 days to the sample window. Express sample in 3 days is available on a case-by-case basis with a rush fee.
Do your custom robes meet REACH / RoHS requirements?
Our standard terry cotton and waffle programs use REACH-compliant dyes and auxiliaries; the mill is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified for the cotton program. RoHS applies to electronic components, not textile inputs, so it is not the relevant framework for robes — the comparable framework is REACH + OEKO-TEX. Will the embroidery or print fade after repeated washing?
Polyester embroidery thread on cotton ground holds color through 50+ industrial wash cycles at 60°C when washed with neutral detergent (no chlorine bleach). Reactive-dyed logo on cotton reads as part of the fabric and outlasts the garment. Direct print on terry is not recommended for robes — it sits on the loop surface and abrades off in 10–20 cycles. Embroidery is the durable default; patch is the second most durable.
What is the MOQ per design, and can colors be split across the MOQ?
MOQ is 50 pieces per design. A "design" means one logo artwork + one fabric color; if you need 3 colors × 50 pcs = 150 pcs total, that is one program (one PO, one production run) — color split is allowed as long as each colorway clears 50 pcs. For mixed sizes (S/M/L/XL) within one colorway, sizes can split freely as long as the total is ≥ 50 pcs. Below 50 pcs per color, setup fees apply and lead time extends.
